![]() It's supposedly based on actual events. It came out last year.
It's about B-17's and it has some negative reviews. IMDb has a 4.6 out of 10. I saw it at the movie rental section of my local store. I think I'll rent it and see what I think. As much as I love WW2 aviation, I'm not good at picking out historical errors yet so I'm sure I'll like it. I can find errors easily with Submarine movies though...like the nightmare that U-571 is to watch... |

Re: Anybody seen Fortress?
I just watched this movie earlier.
I liked it considering that it had a low budget and was mostly computer generated. I recommend it but you have to get past these things. It's a low budget movie with computer generated planes. Story isn't bad. I don't know much about B-17's based in North Africa in July 1943 but I thought it was good. I like when they do movies on these "forgotten battles" |

Re: Anybody seen Fortress?
Following your thread I got it on Amazon and thought it quite good. The Fortress at the end climbing from sea level to bale out height on one engine seemed a bit optimistic, particularly after the trouble Steve McQueen had trying to climb his B-17 at the end of ''The War Lover''. the computer generated aircraft were pretty good I thought better than ''Red Tails'' all in all very good for its low budget.
