Taran attack on 04.07.43

On this date Ml.Lt. S.A. Pushkov of 21 IAP reportedly rammed a Fw.189 aircraft in the region of Belenskoe, 4km from Chapli Lake (region of Dukhovschina, Smolenskaya Oblast?).
Is this action connected with the wounding of Albert Buttke on this date? I´m not sure were Belenskoe, Chapli Lake or Lemekki are located. There also different times given in soviet sources (10.30h or 04.20h) and even dates (04.07.43 or 15.08.43). Who were the other crewmembers of Buttke?
BUTTKE, Albert. (DOB: 12.11.14). (DKG). 01.03.42 RDA for Oblt. (Kr.O./Fl.). 16.11.42 Oblt. and Beobachter, awarded the Ehrenpokal. 01.02.43 Oblt., awarded DKG, 4.(H)/Aufkl.Gr. 31. 04.07.43 Oblt. and Beobachter (observer) in NAGr. 3, WIA – in Fw 189 shot down by fighters over Lemekki. 01.01.44 promo to Hptm.; Stab NAGr.3 (including 4.(H)/31) operated in Central Russia probably from Dretun.

Correct date and time is 04Jul43 at 04:20 (Moscow) on a LaGG-3. I found the loacation listed as Belenskoe 4 km W of Chepli Lake. Sergey Alekseevich Pushkov on coming down became a POW. The last record of his existence was in Stalag VIIA on the 02 Oct 1943.

Thanks for the quick reply Nokose,
do you know where Chepli Lake is situated? I can not find it by map searches.

Best regards

I believe its in the Kaluga Oblast but can't find any of the city or villages listed. The names might have changed. I did find the mention of the lake in Kaluga Obl. Its in the 35 Ost/65 of the Luftwaffe map but I can't find any Luftwaffe and Hungarian claims for him. So that leaves the Italians and the Rumanians which I have nothing on.

Re: Taran attack on 04.07.43

Thanks again...
I have different quotes for 21 IAP for July 1943, it was part of 259 IAD, 3 VA (Kalinin Front) in July or August 1943 (or less probable of 209 IAD, 2 IAK, 5 VA, Steppe Front). What is correct?
TSAMO, f. of 3 VA, pub. 4518, d. 7. and Alexander Melnikov state that Pushkov died in a taran (but on different dates/ locations), so there is probably no german, italian or romanian claim for him.

In the OBD he is listed in the losses of the 3 VA with nearly a paragraph relating the his loss with the date, time, type aircraft and location.

Re: Taran attack on 04.07.43

Thanks Nokose,
I´ve found Chepli, it is located some 40km N of Demidov, 25km E of Velizh on a lake (there´s a Belen´kiye some 20km N of Demidov). Some 4km west to it lies a hamlet called Lemeshi - could this be Lemekki?
Of intersest would be datas on the Fw.189 lost (Werknr. etc) and if Stab NAGr.3 used forward fields as Dretun is roughly some 130km to the west of Chepli.
