K.G. 53 activity for June 18, 1940
Hello,
I am looking for details about K.G. 53 bombers' targets on 18 June 1940. During their withdrawal, French troops (...and often also civilians) have been attacked several times by twin-engines bombers in the areas Tours, Poitiers, Angoulême, Limoges, Montluçon and Bourges. I am particularly looking for an aerial attack which occured that day on the road Gien-Bourges. Not sure if I am right, but it was perhaps the task of III. Gruppe to bomb this area and I wanted to check with your kind assistance. Best regards, Frederic |
