Re: Dissertation on historiography of bombing of Germany
Most interesting! Though a quick browsing does prove that as long as WW2 historiography is controlled by various SIGs (Special Interest Group), there is no hope of neutral and objective history of truth. As Keijo Korhonen-former foreign minister, UN diplomat, author, brilliant commentator of politics and currently a professor at the Arizona State University-recently wrote, the whole phrase "war crime" is meaningless if those Allied area aerial bombings are excluded.
As for the bombing of Warsaw, British author Sir Basil Liddell-Hart considered it to be within the rules siege warfare.
