Re: Lt. Josef Lackner Me 262 of KG 54
Hi Jan,
According to Radtke, Lt Lackner was shot down by P-47 Mustangs at low-level and crashed at the edge of the village of Segnitz near Marktbreit. Josef Lackner was born on April 9th 1922. He carried the Fighter Operational Clasp. He did not die in a Reserve Lazarett in Göhrde/Dannenberg-Elbe on 13 April, 1945 of his wounds sustained during the crash as the KRACKER archive state but he died the day of the crash. He is currently buried in Gemünden. That's all I have. Regards, Rudi. |
