Fw200 of E-Stelle Karlshagen

Hello all,

Botho Stüwe's extensive book 'Peenemünde-West' refers to air launched (unpowered) Fi103 from Fw200(s) in the last months of 1942. Objective was to tests flight characteristics of this flying bomb, before these tests were continued with powered Fi103's.

Main question: who knows the identity/identities of this/these Fw200 ? It's my guess that they belonged to the E-Stelle Karlshagen, not only for the Fi103 but other projectiles as well.

Any info is very welcome, thanks in advance!

Marcel

Re: Fw200 of E-Stelle Karlshagen

Wow Ed,

That is a Me163 worthy fast reply ! Thanks!
I faintly remember to have seen this Stkz. DP+ON in the Stüwe book but as this was late 1943 and/or 1944, I remained curious whether there is/was an inventory of aircraft of this Erpr.Stelle. A friend took my Regel/Beauvais book about the Erprobungsstellen der Luftwaffe to his winter holiday so I can't check this work at the moment...

Again thanks for your help, most appreciated,

Marcel
