Do217 in FAGr1 in Nov.44

Hello friends,

just found out a mention in Kriegsmarine document about Do217 from FAGr1 (Baltic, Nov.44).
It seems 3(F)/22, 4(F)/14 and 5(F)/122 were in the FAGr1 in Nov.44 but they hadn't Do217.

Any ideas?

Best regards,
Andrey

Re: Do217 in FAGr1 in Nov.44

According to the luftwaffe site by Michael Holm, in November 1944 Stab FAGr 1 commanded the following Staffel:

3.(F)/Aufkl.Gr.Nacht, 1942 - 5.45
3.(F)/Aufkl.Gr.122, 1942 - 1945
5.(F)/Aufkl.Gr.122, 1942 - 2.45
2.(F)/Aufkl.Gr.11, 10.44 - 12.44
4.(F)/Aufkl.Gr.14, 10.44 - 12.44
3.(F)/Aufkl.Gr.22, 1943 - 3.45

According to a Luftwaffe OOB in November 1944 available online (http://www.luftwaffe.no/SIG/OOB/Nov44-1.html), the first had no aircraft and received none during the month, but the three similar night recon staffel were using Do 217 at the time. And they were the only operational units listed to use Do 217 at this time of the war.

Re: Do217 in FAGr1 in Nov.44

Thank you, Laurent.

But 3./Nacht, 3./122 and 2./11 were too far from Baltic Sea in Nov.44.
Maybe you are right about 3.(F)/Nacht and data on the site are incorrect...
Or "Flugzeugbestand und Bewegungsmeldungen" data for 3(F)/22, 4(F)/14 and 5(F)/122 are incomplete/incorrect.
