Re: old 216IAD - 9GIAD losses july 43
II/JG52 was the only unit to blame for 216 IAD's losses within this period.
6 Yak-1s were lost in 42 GIAP ( three on July 22, two on July 16 and one on July 19) 16 GIAP lost one Aircobra on July 24. |

Re: old 216IAD - 9GIAD losses july 43
http://www.allaces.ru/cgi-bin/s2.cgi...truct/main.dat
This site lists the Soviet air units of WWII, and has often a list of pilots/air crew attached to each unit. Except rare units, these lists are not complete at all (but are covering most losses in 1942). http://www.obd-memorial.ru/html/advanced-search.htm The above list is the Russian (or rather Soviet) equivalent of CWGC. You have to type in Russian but it will cover casualties (killed and missing) of the whole war. You can type an unit in the search box and it will provide you a list of casualties more complete than above, but units may be written in different forms. It is also useful to complete the name of a fallen Soviet soldiers. I suspect that the first post by HGabor above is the result of a search on this website ![]() http://formulyar-polka.narod.ru/t21/tom21-avia.htm Loss list for the Baltic Sea Fleet Air Force (probably incomplete but still useful) http://sk16.ru/forum/viewforum.php?f=17 Loss list of most air units in Murmansk area http://www.bellabs.ru/51/Morozov/Losses.html Loss list of 51 MTAP http://militera.lib.ru/h/hazanov_gorbach/04.html Loss lists of several units involved in Kursk battle (6 IAK 5-12 July, 221 BAD 5-10 July, 302 IAD whole month) |

Re: old 216IAD - 9GIAD losses july 43
Hi,
on 24.7.43 four P-39`s from 16 GIAP were scrambled to cover Slawinskaja airfield (18.55-19.37 hrs). The P-39 (L-1 no.24699) of Ml.Lt. Czikmariew was shot down by enemy fighter. The aircraft crashed 6 km NW of Marianskaja (?) hamlet. The pilot was killed. Regards Robert |

Hi Robert et al,
Is there a Luftwaffe claim that matches this loss? Tony Wood doesn't seem to have anything for this time of the day. Nick |
