Re: He 111 Wk Nr 2857

Hello Chris,
I have the following info from an old internet site.

15./16.04.1941: He 111 P-2 (2857) G1 + ES; Shot down by S/Ldr. J. Cunnigham and Sgt. C.F. Rawnsley in a Beaufighter from No. 604 Squadron during a mission to Belfast. Crashed into 10 & 12 Padwell Road, Southampton, Hampshire. (FF) Oblt. Günther von Seidlitz and (BO) Fw. Franz Hümmer killed. (BF) Uffz. Herbert Sauer and (BM) Uffz. Horst Rosenberg captured.

I'm not sure if this info is 100% correct.

Regards, Patrick

If you have a source for the Kennung G1+BS, I would be interested in including this tidbit.
