Re: IL-10 losses
There may not be any coze the first IL-10's were commited to action by April 15,1945 and have participated here and there in the final victory against Germany. The initial delivery
to VVS commenced in early March 1945 by Plant Nr 1 and 18 with some 780 aircraft many out which never reached the fronts due a wide variety of reasons. |

Gabor
The IL-10 of 995 ShAP IL-10, S/N: 1890405 took off from Izmail, Ukraine near Romanian border, and seems to have been lost during a training flight to or from Romania. Do you have the pilot's name ? |

Re: IL-10 losses
Unfortunately not. That time period was out of my research, I just needed the unit markings of certain regiments, eg. the 995. ShAP. Since in TsAMO archives beside this data, there was a nice wreck-photo, showing the tail markings of the 995th ShAP, I was happy finding the answer and I closed the case. That was all I needed, the markings.

Re: IL-10 losses
Yeah, crashed at Sinpetru near Brasov airfield penetrating real bad weather in close proximity to Carpatian mountains on November 3,1945 (not October ) losing orientation , though his home base was Izmail
and his Sqd may have been relocated to Brasov. Poliakov was with 12th SChAD originally from Kazahstan ( long way to go and short way to day) Bolschoy Spasibah & Thanks Gabor !!!! Last edited by researcher111; 27th January 2014 at 22:23. |

Re: IL-10 losses
No problem. I received October, not November. Who knows, since the OBD personal cards are full of mistakes/typos, because they were late-written summarizing pages of lost crews. The photos are nice, but these were not 995 ShAP planes. Cheers,

You are absolutely right OBD is full of errors, but better than nothing. As into the book , yes agreed are not those of 995 ScHAP But I have possibility to obtain from Russian Archives near St.Petersburg more stuff. I am attaching this sheet, last on the list is Alimkin, shot down near Budapest Hero of Sovie Union , he was with 167 / 995 GvSchAP The remains of the plane were never located.
