KIA in Iraq
As I have no quick access to the German records, would someone have the list of the flying personel of Sonderkommando Junck killed in action in Iraq?
In particuler, I'd like to sort out the fate of the two Bf 110 crews shot down by Gladiators of 94 Sqn on 17 May 1941. According to Chris Shores (Dust Clouds), one of the 110 was flown by Lt Wörner (†). However, Wörner eventually flew with NJG 1, EJG 2 before being WIA with 9./JG 7 on 24 March 1945. Thanks to all. Re: KIA in Iraq
Hello Chris,
On 17 May 1941 two Bf110's were downed: one was shot down in flames and in the following crash Uffz. Fischer and Fw. Offermann were killed. The other Bf110 made an emergency landing and the crew (their identities unknown to me) likely survived. No Lt. Wörner seen, which doesn't mean that he did not take part of course... Source: FLUGZEUG, 7th year No.3 (June/July 1991), pages 26-27-28 and (continuation) 45-46-47-48-49-50 All the best, Marcel

According to the VDK, Fw August Offermann was killed 16 May 41 and Uffz Johann Fischer 26 May 41-both are buried in Baghdad
