Glorious in Solitude 'The Courage of Isolated Rear Gunners'

Can I advise forum members of my new book which explores the lives of some 15 Rear Gunners operational service in the Second World War. I have also tried to provide the reader with an understanding of their training and equipment. www.colinpateman.com provides a link to my site with more detail. The Luftwaffe night fighters accounted for so many of these young men and the cover is dedicated to the bronze cast figure from the Bomber Command Memoral in London.

Good luck with this. I only hope that it is not overshadowed by the over-abundance of Bomber Command or bomber stories books which are currently flooding the bookshelves. As of now, I have just finished reviewing one such book and now have another 3 to review!

Chris. I have worked hard to show aspects of the equipment training and life behind the perspex bubbles which were unique to these men. Taken from their own flying logbooks it is I hope a fitting book to recognise the 'Rear Gunners'.
