Question on Fighter Group

Question on which Fighter Group escorted the Japanese surrender planes ??
The ones with the green crosses.
Was there more than the one escort mission ? different places ?

Yep I know but I have a friend interested in this and I don't remember which squadron .But the forum only goes back about one year so information is not there any more so I thought I would ask again thinking someone would remember .

Tje 421st Night Fighter Squadron provided escort for some portion of the Japanese surrender aircraft that landed on Ie Shima, but I don't know which other squadrons also took part.
