Lieut Yoshito Kobayashi (later Lt Cmdr /Cmdr)
Does anyone have any more information about this pilot? He was a pre war pilot of Imperial Japanese Naval Air Service and later Zero test pilot. He was also a member of "Genda's Flying Circus" in 1932.
The reason is that I am trying to tie him in with a parachute jump made by Japanese Officer attached to the R.A.F on 17 April 1930 in crashing AW Siskin J8861 of 111 Sqn at Hornchurch. All newspapers say his name was Lt 'Kobeyash' but both ORB and Irvin records have " Y Kobayashi " I want to confirm that they are the same man which I strongly suspect Kind Regards Paul McMillan |

Not much information since Kobayashi is a very common name, but I wonder if it's this guy?

Same Man!
From Google Search From: Sunburst: The Rise of Japanese Naval Air Power, 1909-1941 By Mark Peattie KOBAYASHI YOSHITO (1899-1950). "he was sent to Britain for advanced flight training, 1929-30". "He commanded the 253d Air Group based at Kavieng, 1942-43 " |
