Bf 109 G-6 W.Nr. 163683

Hello,

I am currently working on my Volume 2 of "Captured Eagles" and am trying to find out to which unit Bf 109 G-6 W.Nr. 163683 belonged during its career.

Maybe it appears in a delivery or damage report. I would appreciate any information.

Regards,

Roger Gaemperle

I have as shot down in Luftkampf with the pilot KIA on 21-Jan-44 with 1./JG 3 from a posting on this site. Probably not accurate?

Re: Bf 109 G-6 W.Nr. 163683

The 1./JG 3 loss turned out to be W.Nr. 160683 and not 163683. The old thread got sidetracked and tried to answer if it was 160683 or not, but unfortunately no information about 163683 (except for around what date it was produced, for which I am grateful).

My hope was that it appeared in e.g. a Flugbuch, ULTRA report, damage report, etc., but maybe it just didn't or it would be finding a needle in a haystack.
