Re: Oblt Henseler Wilhelm 4./NJG1
Hi Guys
Sorry I do not have a date of birth or death for this pilot. He survived the war, and I hope still living. He made his first flight on 10th May 1937, and did his nightfighter training with I./Njg101 and 9./Njg101. He was the Staffelkapitän of 4./Njg1 from 25th December 1943 until 3rd March 1944. In early 1944 he was flying with Erpo.kdo.Schreckenberger. He was the Staffelkapitän of 1./Njg1 from 2nd October 1944 until the wars end. Flew a total of seventy-seven sorties. His first five claims were with 4./Njg1, the last five with 1./Njg1. The first four as a Leutnant, the last six as an Oberleutnant. 31st August 1943 Stirling 4km SW Rheydt 0330 hrs at 4500 metres Nr.1 6th September 1943 Halifax at Hornissenwiesen 0115 hrs 4800 metres Nr.2 3rd November 1943 Halifax SE Rheydt 1957 hrs 6100 metres Nr.3 26th November 1943 Halifax NE St.Vith 0335 hrs 3800 metres Nr.4 20th December 1943 Haqlifax at Fronville 2043 hrs 5000 metres Nr.5 28th April 1944 Lancaster at St.Trond 0158 hrs 4000 metres Nr.6 28th April 1944 Halifax 0202 hrs 4000 metres Nr.7 22nd May 1944 Lancaster 10km NE Dordrecht 0137 hrs 6000 metres Nr.8 23rd May 1944 Lancaster South of Rheine 0039 hrs 5500 metres Nr.9 25th May 1944 Halifax 30km NW Eindhoven 0248 hrs 3500 metres Nr.10 Regards Johannes |
