Storming the Bombers Vol.2 Cover Photo

Dear All,

Could someone please identify the II.(Sturm)/JG 4 Staffel (members) featured on the cover of Eric Mombeek's book Storming the Bombers - A Chronicle of JG 4, Volume 2: 1944-1945. I was not able to find any reference to this photo in the book itself.

Any assistance will be much appreciated.

Oblt. Rolf Schlegel, 8.(Sturm)/JG 4
I do not know the names of the other three in the photo.

Re: Storming the Bombers Vol.2 Cover Photo

Hello,

Thank you for your reply. Interestingly enough, I found the photo of Oblt. Rolf Sclegel on page No.18 in the above book, although the index at the end of it made reference to him as Hans Schlegel. I also found no evidence of him in Henry L. deZeng IV and Douglas G. Stankey excellent reference work here http://ww2.dk/Lw%20Offz%20-%20S-Z%20-%20Apr%202014.pdf

Nevertheless, I was primarily interested in the actual Staffel designation, and any additional information in the respect of personnel is a welcome bonus.

Rob, perhaps I can answer your query - Oblt. Rolf schlegel would be the pilot, first from the right. The others would be the technical personnel assigned to his aircraft.
