Re: Mosquito HP852

Hi Pavel,

Nothing mentioned in the ORB as such. Air Britain also mentions 21 Sqdn, but I fear this might be wrong...

Regards,
Hans

Re: Mosquito HP852

Pavel,

This website has a different look on the 219 Squadron Mosquito lost on 19.4.1945:

http://www.aircrewremembered.com/raf...ungronald.html

Serial NT380 suggested here.

Remarkable that Mosquito came down rather far away from operation area...

"Scholdt" is of course "Scheldt" or even better Schelde in plain Dutch.

Regards,

Leendert

Re: Mosquito HP852

Hi
many mysteries, many opinions:

http://www.airhistory.org.uk/dh/_DH9...odn%20list.txt
MM733 NF30 219Sqdn Missing from patrol over Scholdt estuary 19 April 45
NT380 NF30 219Sqdn Missing from patrol over Schelde 20 April 45

http://www.inmemories.com/Cemeteries...elsbelgian.htm
PETRISSE ALBERT JOSEPH GHISLAIN
United Kingdom Flying Officer (Pilot) Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve 219 Sqdn. Killed19/04/1945 153762
LALOUX MAURICE HENRI JOSEPH
United Kingdom Flight Sergeant (Nav.) Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve 219 Sqdn. Killed19/04/1945 1424951

(In 219 Squadron - Belgian Wings)
-The following month, on 18th April, PETRISSE and his comrade LALOUX takes off from Gilze-Rijen to operate over Northern Germany. The Flak again is the cause of the loss of their Mosquito FK-Z which crashes at Visselhövede killing the crew. After the war, their bodies will be found hurriedly burried in the Wehnsen cemetery (near Soltau).

Roba, J.-L. - Belgen in de RAF / 3 - Albert Petrisse, Maurice Laloux
says both killed 18.4.1945
Op 18 april onderging een andere Belgische Mosquitobemanning van 219 squadron hetzelfde lot: Albert Pétrisse en Maurice Laloux.

Pilot: F/O. Ronald Leicester YOUNG 178786 R.A.F.V.R - Killed
Nav. F/O Norman Guy FAZAN 174237 R.A.F.V.R - Survived.

Is possible?
MM733
Pilot: F/O Albert Joseph G. PETRISSE - 153762 R.A.F.V.R. - killed
Nav. F/Sgt Maurice Henri J. LALOUX - 1424951 R.A.F.V.R. - killed
NT380
Pilot: F/O. Ronald Leicester YOUNG - 178786 R.A.F.V.R - Killed
Nav. F/O Norman Guy FAZAN - 174237 R.A.F.V.R - Survived.
Indeed remarkable that the Mosquito came down somewhat away from traffic areas.
Regards Pavel
