222 Squadron Spitfires
Looking for the serials of the following 222 Sqd Spitfires (as painted on the fuselage in October 1943.
ZD-J ZD-G ZD-K ZD-C ZD-D ZD-T These were most likely at either Hornchurch or Worthy Down on the 20th of October undergoing aileron and reflection trials. The squadron itself was very very busy that day, so these Spits were either meant for 222 Squadron, or they had been replaced by new ones. The ORB of October 1943 only lists the serial - not the squadron letter while my source only lists the squadron code. Any ideas?
