Hi could anybody help with loss detail for the following airmen, from 8/KG55.

Uffz.Gerhard Stuwe 25.7.42
Ofw.Franz Motz 3.9.42
Both airmen from crews lost over the Eastern Front.

1942-09-03, 8./KG 55, He 111 H-6, 7585, G1+WS, Fl.Pl. Kramatorskaja, Unfreiwillige Bodenberührung bei Nachtplazflug. Bruch 100 %.
Flugzeugführer Ofw Motz, Franz, +
Bordfunker Fw Lemperle, Paul, +
Bordmechaniker Ogfr Zoller, Alfons, +

No info on Uffz Gerhard Stuwe or Stüwe. Maybe killed on ground? Have no aircraft loss of 8./KG 55 on 1942-07-25.

Re: 8/KG55 losses summer 1942.

Good evening Matti, thank you ever so much for the information on Ofw Franz Motz.
Having looked again at the incident on 25.7.42 I believe this is a forced landing by Stuwe with no casualties. I have this as He111H-6 G1+FS with a yet to be confirmed W.Nr.
Kindest regs
Steve.

Re: 8/KG55 losses summer 1942.

Steve,
See http://yogysoft.de/pawel/3557 00.html on 25.07.42.
The name is Uffz. Stüve and not Stüwe
Regards
Frans.A

Re: 8/KG55 losses summer 1942.

Hi Frans A, I did notice the spelling on Pawel's site as Stuve, however I have a rosta of all 8/KG55 crews dated 7.5.42 which clearly shows Uffz Gerhard Stuwe, with the umlaut above the U!
Best regs,
Steve.
