Me 109 at Alamein

A relative of a 3rd Hussars veteran posted this over at WW2 talk. Any info about her and her jockey?

Many thanks in advance!

All the best

On 26.Oct. 1942 Ltn. Dr. Helmuth Fenzl was made a POW in this machine after combat with 112 Sq. Fenzl was with 9./JG 27, but the Bf 109F-4/Trop WNr.13136 was from 7./JG 27.

Which Mark of Kittyhawk's not really in my bailiwick; Robin Brown's Shark Squadron: The History of Squadron 112, RFC, RAF, 1917-1975 (Crecy, 1997) will likely provide details (I read it years ago, but do not own it.).

Re: Me 109 at Alamein

During October 1942, Kittyhawks III replaced the old Ia for the incoming offensive.
