Pictures To Identify

All are from expired E-Bay auctions. Can anyone identify?

Re: Pictures To Identify

First one appears to be Russian. Maybe a Sturmovik.

Re: Pictures To Identify

1st shot I doubt someone could identify , mid shot according stabilizer and
the logo possibly a B-17 belonging to 383 BG though not certain

PS : Chris look at the stabilizer , don't appear as an Avro Ensign generally speaking yes except rudder section

Re: Pictures To Identify

Picture 2 I appears to be Avro Ensign which was destroyed by strafing at Merville I think. As to 3, a Hurricane with all metal wings?

Re: Pictures To Identify

The 2nd photo has a lot of features that match an Ensign, especially the engines and the construction of the wing.

Incidentally I'm not sure the vertical structure is a tail fin. as the lower section appears to have an arch.

researcher1111, take a look at the gun to the right in picture one. It looks Russian to me and looks like the one the rear gunner operated in a Sturmovik. And ya, second shot is definitely not a Fortress.

Indeed is a Russian MG ,though other similar aircrafts such as R-10, SU-2 had a rear gunner too ,is very hard to id this wreck .The wing tip is similar to this IL-2
