Stuka Atatcks on Malta March 1941

Can anyone tell me what attacks were carried out by Stukas against La Valetta on or before 12 March 1941?

Re: Stuka Atatcks on Malta March 1941

Chris,

by a quick rush through the pages I have found II./KG 26, 7./JG 26 and 2. Staffel I./StG 1 bewteen January and February 1941 as involved units. Source: "Victory in the Air" by Richard J. Caruana.

Best Regards
Norbert

P.S.: 15th March 1941 - 1./JG 27 and 7./JG 26

Don't have your book as normally Malta is outside my area of interest (got to limit my interests) but when I am given 2 photos showing Stukas attacking Malta and a date, I am intrigued.

Norbert

Many thanks for the scans which I will digest shortly

Chris

6 March 1941: 9 Stukas against La Valletta harbour between 20:20 and 20:25.
7 March 1941: 11 Stukas against La Valletta harbour between 21:00 and 21:30.

Hi Chris,

Squadron Leader Derek Whittingham's diary only specifically mentions Ju87 attacks on the 5th March.
