Fw190F unknown mini-stick
Over the ZSK 244 bomb selector panel there is a strange mini-stick like things. Did anyone knows it's designation and what it is for.
I have done some search and it is not to drive the Ju88 Mistel element, nor to drive a X-4. I believe the photo to have been pictured in Italy and the W.Nr. to be 584564 (Source is J.Ethell collection) Thanks for help, Olivier |

Re: Fw190F unknown mini-stick
Normally that is the location for the safety switch for the Under Wing Rocket Control Panel (WfrGr 21).

Re: Fw190F unknown mini-stick
Hi Olivier,
That was the on off/off switch in a Fw 190 G-3 for the 1-axis autopilot. See also the LIFE cockpit shot of G-3 W.Nr. 160016 I published in my blog about Luftwaffe control sticks http://germancontrolsticks.blogspot....0-g-3.html?m=1 You can see the same switch. On the left cockpit console the Richtungsgeber switch to set the course marked R (Rechts) and L (Links) can be seen. Your photo (by Jeff Ethell) was presumably taken in Italy where several G-3 were captured. Best regards Roger |
