Bf 110E(?) 3U=MS

Hi Guys.
I need to confirm the type of 110 with code 3U=MS.
Visited in desert by many South Africans.
Looks like an E model, and the Wrk Nr looks like 4686 on fin.(I don't have 110 serial breakdowns)
Am I right in that it was an E version?
Does somebody know where it was found in the desert and a loss report on it??
Thx a mil
Stefaan

Re: Bf 110F-2 3U+MS

WNr.4556 had made a belly-landing 5.July 1942 at "Bir Amus Meid".

BTW, WNr.4686 was a 110F-4 that was serving with the 7./NJG 5 a year later, damaged in a crash-landing during the night of 31.Aug./1.September 1943.

Re: Bf 110E(?) 3U=MS

Hi Guys.
It can only be 4556 as the codes are definitely 3U MS. The dates also correspond to when the SAAF sqdn members who moved past that area were in N Africa.
Please send

Thx
Stefaan
