Re: Ju88 Props
Hello,
Thank you for the answers and yes, it does help. I should have also asked are the VDM props the same for all the different Ju88 versions to which they were fitted, diameter etc.I am thinking mainly of the Ju88H-1,are these the same as the ones fitted to an A version. Kindest regards, Don. |

Re: Ju88 Props
I think Ju 88 H-1 had same VDM props as the Ju 88 G-1 Night fighter

Re: Ju88 Props
Hello Ed,
Thank you for the answer. I am making a model of a Ju88H-1 out of various Hasegawa kits but do not like the blades so had in mind to use Quickboost blades that appear to be for inline engined Revell and Hasegawa kits and was wondering if they were the same as on radial engined aircraft, Don. |

Re: Ju88 Props
I do note you write designation incorrect. If on school, these make "minus points" in Grammatik. Please have spaces before and after numer 88 (please write : Ju 88 H-1), that is correct spelling, please do not Angletise/Americanise, because this was and always will be a German design, and had RLM imposed/dictated "designator "Ju 88". Likewise is Me-109, He-111 etc. incorrect. Who won the war does not count anymore.
Also be careful use correct length for extentions, some drawings on the market simply do not show this correctly, the Junkers drawing in Ju 388 book (Vernaleken/Handig, Aviatic 2003, P.81) has the correct "plugs" - both before wing (1950 mm) and aft of wing (wing that likely was taken complete from the Ju 88 G-1, with the BMW 801 engines.) was shorter plug, 1550 mm. Both plugs contained one fuel tank each. That was the Ju 88 H purpose: Extended range. -Ed |
