Stab/JG 51 October 1940-March 1941

According to Horst Geyer, at the start of March 1941, the Stabschwarm was Mölders (1), Geyer (2), Grasser (3), Balfanz (4)-who were the Adj, TO and NO? Adj to 28 Aug 40 was Oblt Erich Kircheis then Oblt Georg Claus to 18 Oct 40 but who then took over-Oblt Manfred Köpcke or Oblt Hermann Kohl and what would the Stabschwarm have been for the latter end of 1940? Larry & Doug's list helps but some of the dates do not match

Stab/JG 51 October 1940-March 1941

Hi Chris

According to Die Jagdfliegerverbände der Deutschen Luftwaffe 1934 bis 1945 by Prien and his team Oberleutnant Manfred Köpcke was appointed Geschwaderadjutant on 19 October 1940 and served in this role until 19 July 1941. I hope this helps fit another piece to the puzzle.

Horrido!

Leo

Thanks-I have this but think the dates in the Careers database don't match (nor does this match with what Horst Geyer told me!). Also, Hptm Hans Asmus shot down on 25 Oct 40 said that this day Mölders was flying "with his usual Rottenflieger, a Fw". I am assuming this was Fw Erwin Fleig from 1/JG 51!
