Meaning of V on Cowling of Ju 88 D-1
Can anyone tell me what the letter V means on this 1/Aufkl.ObdL aircraft. Even Ed North cannot say for certain!

This is a so called "Wartungswinkel". Has to do with the number of "Teilüberholungen" and "Grundüberholungen" (overhaul) of the engine Jumo 211.
More details will be available in my planned book on the Ju 88 (30% complete). Peter
