This aircraft can be seen on page 347 of Prien/Stemmer's "III./JG 3", although in flying condition. Aircraft is black 9 of 8 staffel, approximate date of March 1944. Mention is made of the gray stripe visible forward of the white fuselage band, and it is visible on the left side of the aircraft as well.

Looking at this very interesting (and very expensive) photo I wonder if the woman in front of the flying wing is Hanna Reitsch. The man on top of the flying wing looks a lot like Reimar Horten.
Wonder when and where this photo was taken.
