Post 2, #22. B-17F "Down and Go!" after landing in Denmark due to engine failure (Down and Won't Go ?). It was later used by KG200 as A3+CE .

(n.d.) attended FFS C Zeltweg then BFS Neuburg. 15.05.38 trf to 2./KG 153. 09.39 with 2./KG 77. 08.40 appt Adj. of I./KG 77. 06.41 trf to 3./KG 77. 09.09.41 Oblt., awarded the Ehrenpokal. 19.12.41 Oblt. in I./KG 77, awarded the DKG. 16.03.42 appt Staka 1./KG 77. 01.07.42 promo to Hptm. Early 1943 appt Adj. of Stab/KG 77. 01.07.43 Hptm., appt Kdr. I./KG 77 (to 20.07.44). c. 20.07.44 Hptm., appt Kdr. I./KG 26 (to 02.45) due to unit renaming. 01.08.44 promo to Maj. 19.08.44 former Kdr. I./KG 77, awarded the Ritterkreuz on completing 270 combat missions. Fall 1944 promo to Maj. 02.45 trf to LKS Berlin-Gatow to war's end. †13.07.95. Credited with 270 missions, and 2 victories. He had been shot down 5 times. †13.07.1995 in Uetze near Celle, buried there at the Kirchlichen Friedhof.
