JG 2 History

I just read in another forum that an history of JG 2 was about to be published, and that another was under way. Unfortunately, I do not have any further clue. Do you have more information to share?

Very best regards,

Philippe

Re: JG 2 History

I know that my fellow countryman, Mr Roba, is currently working on a chronicle of JG 2 in several volumes. The first part should be available in Autumn this year.
cheers
Phil

Re: JG 2 History

Hello,
I read with great interest that there are plans for a comprehensive JG 2 history. Is this Mr Roba already an established author ? In which language his work on JG 2 will be published ? Is he member of this board ?
Thanks !

Re: JG 2 History

M. Roba has authored at least one of the Jagdwaffe Classic titles as I recall and regularly publishes articles in the French 'Avions' magazine under his own name and various assumed names..
The research duo Roba/Mombeek have spent much time during the past twenty years criss-crossing Germany gathering material and interviewing contacts. I understand that the JG 2 history is due in French and English and that Vol 1 may be ready this year.
