Fw Erwin Roden

This pilot was killed while flying for 7 Staffel III/JG1 on 18 July 1943, probably by FL JB Shepherd of 118 Squadron. A Fw Roden claimed at least 4 times in 1942-43. can anyone confirm his final tally?

Re: Fw Erwin Roden

Roden's claims were 4 from what I can see whilst with 4/JG 1-P38 & Ventura on 4 Apr 43, with 12/JG 1 Mosquito 19 Sep 42; I cannot locate his 2nd kill though

Re: Fw Erwin Roden

Hi again Chris,

I agree your details. I got mine from Chris Woods research . I don't see Roden listed as being an ace in the Magnus listings so maybe he didn't get the elusive fifth. He seems to have shifted around quite a bit, all his claims are while flying with different staffels!
