German aircraft down in the Ukraine - 1941

Hi all,

Attached is a scan of the back of a photo. As far as I can read Sütterlin, the inscription says:
"Verunglückter Deutsche Zerstörer an der Strasse ??? ???
1941 ???"

Something like "downed German destroyer along the street ????"

Can anyone read the rest?

Thanks in advance,
Rudi.

if you try and upload a low-resolution copy of the photo in question, perhaps you might still receive some feedback.

Here is the photo concerned, Sidney. It's an eBay auction photo of Ju 88 B3+BH of 1./KG54. It's a well known a/c. Several photos have appeared on eBay in the past.

Regards,
Rudi.

Thank you for identifying this city, Rasmussen. Very much appreciated.

Am I correct in thinking that the 2nd city starts with Eg??? And can anyone identify the last word, the one after "1941"?

Thanks in advance,
Rudi.

The second town ... only an guess ... the second letter is an "h", the third an "i", the fourth an "t", the last an "z". Between the "t" and the "z" is an second "i" and an "o" (maybe). I'd think it's the Polish name for "Shitomir" ... "Zytomierz" in an somehow strange spelling.
