E. Wojczynicki
Franek/others,
Warrant Officer E. (first name unknown) Wojczynicki flew Tempest Vs with 501 Squadron late in 1944 against the V-1 flying bombs, three of which he shot down, on the nights of 13-14 October, 17-18 October and 17-18 December, yet his name does not appear on any Polish lists of V-1 scorers that I have seen. Can anyone enlighten me? Cheers Brian |

Re: E. Wojczynicki
Maybe you think about W/O Edward Wojczyński, who served earlier in 307. Squadron???

Re: E. Wojczynicki
Thanks Artur
I will check 307's ORB to see if our man was posted to 501 Squadron. Cheers Brian |

Re: E. Wojczynicki
Hi Franek - too late, I am off to Kew tomorrow! But does your response mean that they are one and the same, or not?!

Re: E. Wojczynicki
Yes, it is the same man. Unfortunately, killed in early 1960s, but I am trying to locate his son.

Re: E. Wojczynicki
Thanks Artur and Franek - at least I am now able to properly identify our man - would his first name have been Edward or Edvard?
Cheers & thanks Brian |
