E. Wojczynicki

Franek/others,

Warrant Officer E. (first name unknown) Wojczynicki flew Tempest Vs with 501 Squadron late in 1944 against the V-1 flying bombs, three of which he shot down, on the nights of 13-14 October, 17-18 October and 17-18 December, yet his name does not appear on any Polish lists of V-1 scorers that I have seen.

Can anyone enlighten me?

Cheers
Brian

Re: E. Wojczynicki

Maybe you think about W/O Edward Wojczyński, who served earlier in 307. Squadron???

Re: E. Wojczynicki

Thanks Artur

I will check 307's ORB to see if our man was posted to 501 Squadron.

Cheers

Hi Franek - too late, I am off to Kew tomorrow! But does your response mean that they are one and the same, or not?!

Cheers

Yes, it is the same man. Unfortunately, killed in early 1960s, but I am trying to locate his son.

Re: E. Wojczynicki

Thanks Artur and Franek - at least I am now able to properly identify our man - would his first name have been Edward or Edvard?

Cheers & thanks

Brian
