Hello.

It is not clear my friend if you are looking for details of the flying capabilities of the G-10 version of the Gustav (Bf 109). In this case, I guess that there are several specialized books and authors here that can give you positive details and sources.

I have not seen yet a Flugbuch of someone who flew it in combat...though. Am sure some of the Historians here do have...as well as first hand accounts from former LW airmen who flew it.

However if your question is related to someone who may have flown this machine....it seems to be a scrapyard...rather more crowded than the Bf 110 photo I enclosed on one previous thread. So, it seems this machine was damaged in a frame of time and put there to be repaired....(my humble opinion).

I think the question pertains to the mis-fitting cowl. The answer is that as long as it is securely fastened it will probably fly rather well, just with somewhat lower performance and perhaps some oil leaks down the fuselage and windscreen. I have seen at least one other photo of a late-war 109 with a mismatched cowl and fuselage. Desperate times lead to desperate solutions.

However, it may simply be that it hasn't been fastened down at the rear on the port side?

Probably not much difference.

The G6 flew with this tail...no reason for there to be any major issues.

Less control during take-off and landing...but once in the air, both rudders/tails performed similarly. Not enough difference to majorly change the flight characteristics...which is why it was installed in the first place.
