Ju88 of 6/LG 1 down near Dunkirk 29.5.40
I'm trying to ID the codes of a much-photographed Ju88A-1 of 6./LG 1 that force landed on the beach at Dunkirchen-Nieuport on 29.5.40. Oblt. Alfred von Oelhaven was the pilot. I've seen several photos of this aircraft but none identify the full code or possible W.Nr. of this a/c. It should be coded L1+?P. Has anyone got any photos or documentation that fully identifies this aircraft and provides any circumstances to the crash landing?
Thanks |
