Question Überführungsgeschwader 1 Beate Uhse-Rotermund Info need

Hi everyone, I read some time ago that this pilot had transported the ME-262 W. Nr. to the front. 500071 weiss 3, now exhibited at the Deutsches Museum Schleisseheim, there is someone who knows more or who maybe owns his flugbuch and can sell me a copy (or at least the 1945 page). thank you.

Me 262 A-1a/R7, W.Nr.500071 White 3, III./JG 7Deutsches Museum,[108] Munich, Germany. This aircraft, flown by Hans Guido Mutke while a pilot of 9. Staffel/JG 7, was confiscated by Swiss authorities on 25 April 1945 after Mutke made an emergency landing in Switzerland due to lack of fuel (80 litres were remaining, 35 litres were usually burnt in one minute). Removed (2015?) from main museum for restoration and relocated to: Deutsches Museum Flugwerft Schleissheim, Ferdinand-Schulz-Allee (for navigation systems), 85764 Oberschleissheim, Germany

Re: Überführungsgeschwader 1 Beate Uhse-Rotermund Info need

Hello nuvola10,

in the flight log of Beate Uhse is recorded a conversion training flight in a Me 262 on 19 April 1945:
Lfd. Nr. des Fluges: 1895, Führer: Poller, Begleiter: Uhse, Muster: Me 262, Zulassungsnummer: 164, Zweck des Fluges: Umschulung, Abflug: Staaken 15.15, Landung: Staaken 15.30.
A copy is in Jet & Prop 6/95 page 21.

Regards
Leo

Re: Überführungsgeschwader 1 Beate Uhse-Rotermund Info need

Hello nuvola10,

From Dan O'Connell, Me 262 Production Log, (2005), p. 184:

"110164

Beate Rotermund-Uhse was one of the few women known to have flown an Me 262. She was a very experienced pilot who served with Fl.U.G. 1, her flight number being 1,895. She made her first orientation flight at Staaken in a Me 262 B-1a between 15:15 and 15:30 on 19 April 1945. Her instructor was Herr Poller of DLH. She passed away on 18 July 2001 in Switzerland. The Werknummer is provisional as the number noted in her logbook was '164'."

regards,

Jim
