Lg1 14/05/1940

Hi !

This unit lost 3 He111h near Brussels on 14/05/1940.
The pilots were Oblt Rupert Muellauer, Oblt Georg Preuss and Fw Bruno Meininger.
Who knows the other crewmembers ? Where did the planes crash ? Who shot them down ?

Many thanks and best regards

Luc

Re: Lg1 14/05/1940

Hi Luc

According to 'Twelve Days in May' the three Heinkels fell to Hurricanes of 79 Squadron and Moranes of GCII/8. I will check my records to see if I have crew details.

Cheers
Brian

Hi Brian,
I do not have a Obltn. Preuss. There is a Obltn. Fromme listed in the Gen.Qu. loss reports. Unfortunately the non officers are only listed as Besatzungsmitglieder not by name.

Regards,

Norbert
