Spitfire lost when DB was bombed
Hi, guys.
Anyone have the life story of Spitfire Works No 0830 lost in a bombing raid on the Daimler-Benz facility at airfield Echterdingen on August 14th 1944? Just curious... Regards, Andreas |

Going off memory, It was a Spitfire Vb EN889 of 131 Sq flown by P/O Scheidhauer, Free French that belly landed on one of the Channel Islands on Nov 18,1942. He was shot during the Great Escape. |
