Ju-87 Werk # request

I came across the top engine cowl of a Ju-87 that had the numbers 4098 written in pencil on the inside.
Could someone fill me in on the complete number or where I could find some history on the aircraft?
Thank you

Re: Ju-87 Werk # request

The attached photograph appeared in a news magazine some 15 years ago. The story was about a American Jewish soldier who was Army CIC hunting Nazis.

I am including it in this posting since Ghostwriter included a list a Ju-87 Werke Nrs. The rudder balance casts a shadow on the last digit, but it looks like 140707. I tried to scan at highest resolution. And it is not stated in the article where this photograph was taken.

Re: Ju-87 Werk # request

I appreciate the information, however, the Ju-87 production list is far from complete.

RAF Hendon's Ju-87G2 has a Werk # of 494083, just 15 numbers off the Werk# of 4098 (494098) that I had a question.

Hendon believes their Ju-87G2, Werk # of 494083, was originally built as a D5 with a Werk# of 2883
