Hello,

I'm seeking any info about those two Luftwaffe pilots from NJG4 :

Hptm. Fritz Söthe 4./NJG4
Hptm. Hans Autenrieth Stab II./NJG4

Any help are welcome.

Thanks in advance,
Kind regards
Loic

Eric,

It is not clear to me if the note at the bottom of your posting is Soethe's date (20 Sep 1914) and place of birth. What do the numbers 60519/12 signify.

Thanks,

Tom

Re: Pilots of Nachtjagdeschwader NJG4

60519/12 Is what is called the ''Erkennungsmarke'', identity nb of the crew member, 60519 refer to the unit he belongs, or he belonged, 12 is "rank" in this number, 1 could be sta.ka or the more ancient guy by age, to the 60519 could be added a letter a,b,c,d ...new under-unit ???, at the beginning just flying personal seems to hv the unit "code", the "bodenpersonal" wear code of their former affectation, ausbild.rgt Fliergerhorst-kdtr...
I don't read it in a book, just my conclusions..

Remi,

Thanks for your explanation. Can you confirm that Soethe's birth date is 20 Sep 1914?
