Ludwig Sauter, JG 300

Dear All,
When was Ludwig Sauter (JG 300) killed in action? I have photocopies of a few pages from a book about JG 300 (I don't even remember the title of the book) and it only says that Ludwig Sauter, born on 15 October 1923, was killed near Gerbstedt, but no date is given.
Thank you very much in advance.

Hello Teresa Maria,

Gefr Ludwig Sautter of 6./JG 300 was KIA on 27 Nov 1944 in the area Hettstedt/Sandersleben (about 8 km northwest of Gerbstedt) flying Fw 190 A-8 682248 yellow 5.

Re: Ludwig Sauter, JG 300

Dear Leo,
Thank you very much for your answer. Now I see why I couldn't find anything about him. The book spelled his name Sauter, and you spell it Sautter; I have looked for him at www.volksbund.de and I have got this:
Nachname:
Sautter

Vorname:
Ludwig

Geburtsdatum:
25.10.1923

Geburtsort:
nicht verzeichnet

Todes-/Vermisstendatum:
27.11.1944

Todes-/Vermisstenort:
nicht verzeichnet

Apparently, his name was misspelled in the book. And his date of birth is also different (15.10, in the book and 25.10. at www.volksbund.de). Do you have the correct date of his birth?

By the way, I have found this: . FW 190A-8 "Yellow 1", 'Elfi' 6./JG 300 flown by Gfr. Ludwig Sautter, Löbnitz, November 1944.

Do you happen to know why his plane was called Elfi? Was it his wife's name? Or his girlfriend's name?
Best Regards,
Teresa
