Hi Chriss

Maybe F2+MM = 4(Nacht)/Erg.FAGr.

best wishes

Thanks guys-interesting as the badge appears to be a cat jumping over a town? Wk Nr 1192 was originally an E-2 and damaged with II./KG 40. It would appear that 4./Erg.FAGr did have a handful of Do 17s but all I can see are 4 accidents to M-1s, no K-1s

From what I know (which is not much):

F2+_A-C-H-K-L-M-N-X was Erg.(F)Gr. (Rahmel)

Erg./Aufkl.(F) Nacht had the Staffel letter W K7+_W

Just to name a few losses for 4./Aufkl.Gr. Nacht (code for Aufkl.Gr.(F) Nacht was K7+_C-H-K-L-M-R):
Do 217 K1 losses (between January 1943 and July 1943):
WNr.: 4449, 4475, 4508, 4607

Thanks again. Confusion has been that 4 Nachtaufkl.St was operational while 4.(Nacht)/Erg.FAGr (formed mid-1943) was not

Chris: No. That was said to be a moth riding a telescope looking at the moon (1 Staffel was an angel, 2 Staffel and owl and 3 Staffel a night watchman, some of which are in my Do 17 book). This is the 4 (Nacht)/Erg badge
