DO-215 L2+AS 3 (F)
3.(F)/ Aufklärungsgruppe 121
DO-215 L2+AS 3 (F) From various sources in Russia (relatives ) I have received in 2019 an update on this flight brought down near Sevastopol by two Soviet naval MIG-3's fighters in 1941, however I am looking for updated German reports as into what they reported about the fate of this flight which is still MIA as we speak (other than from the Net ) . From Russian military archives side they confirmed a taran by one of their MIG-3 pilots which at my end does not seems at all to be the case a theory which is also backed up by one of the Russian pilots relatives. The attached photo was taken in 1940 or 1941 and may be related to the missing crew though no ID possible the aircraft on here must be a JU-88 rather DO-215 they flew earlier on with. Also attached photo of Soviet naval pilot who brought down the DO-215 also MIA Cheers Alex K Last edited by researcher111; 15th December 2020 at 01:20. |
