Bombing of Barracks at Bussum/Hilversum
On 25th November 1944, a barracks near to Hilversum/Bussum in Holland was attacked by 4 Squadrons of the RAF(66, 127, 331 & 332). 48 ground attack Spitfires were tasked with dive bombing the target. Significant damage to the buildings was reported.
It is recorced in RAF records that the barracks were occupied by over 2000 Panzer troups. What I am trying to establish is which Wehrmacht unit was at the barracks and what losses were inflicted. Thanks in Advance. Andy |
