Jassy 29.05-6.6.1944
Hello
In the battle in the Jassy area, the German pilots reported the shooting down of around 145 P-39 aircraft. The 7th IAK announced in the period 30.05 - 7.6.44 the loss of 57 P-39 aircraft in enemy flights. In comparison, there is a very big difference which casts doubt on the credibility of the Germans. However, during this time the soviets took over 50 emergency landed or crash-landed P-39 aircraft from the combat zone, which were repaired and then sent back into the air. So if the planes landed because they were damaged in the air battles, one can assume that the reports of the German pilots were not so false and that the Soviets' losses were not so great only thanks to the mechanics and the soldiers of the RAB. When you factor in the damage, the German accounts were even better than what was written in the Russian chronicles, which superficially looked at so-called time. Even Hartmann's kills are confirmed by it. You have to get to the books of RAB. Does somebody has any idea. Greeting BenFolk |
