Re: Bf 109 KD+SK
This was an early variant of the Bf 109. Judging solely by a similar StKz (KD+SY), this was a Bf109D-1, likely manufactured in the year 1938. No further info.

Re: Bf 109 KD+SK
Hi Sidney,
Thanks for the reply. The problem is that the KD+S* block is very mixed, containing other variants of Bf 109 and other aircraft types entirely. As an example KD+SB is a Bf 109 F-2.Not that I'm saying that it isn't a Bf 109 D-1.It may be.Alas I lack the knowledge to identify the variant, hence the question. Regards, Clint |

Re: Bf 109 KD+SK
Hi Clint,
I see. Your photo shows an early variant of a Bf 109 fighter aircraft, with two propeller blades. Thus, it may have been either Bf 109 B, Bf 109 C-1 or C-3 or Bf 109 D-1. These were manufactured between early 1937 and late 1938. I cannot say which one is shown on the photo, but someone on this forum maybe able to do so. Regards, Sinisa |
