Help with ID on Luftwaffe Pilot
Hello
I have been researching the History around Fliegerhorst Quakenbrück and I have stumbled upon the story of an unidentified fighter pilot. All the information that I have regarding the crash is, that the crash occurred on the 6th of March 1944 about 2 km north of Quakenbrück and the plane was a ME 109. Can anyone help in finding out who the pilot was? The crashsite was dug out in April 1990 and the remains of the pilot was put to rest at a cemetery. On the cross it says: Unbekannter Deutcher Jagdflieger (Unknown German Fighterpilot) Best regards Henrik
