He 111 large mottle camouflage
My next modelling project is going to be a He 111 in the scheme as reflected in the enclosed pic's.
Am I correct that these schemes comprised of RLM 70/71/65 with lage mottles of 75 over the two greens? Thanks for any input. Etienne. |

Etienne,
I would interpret the mottles on the KG 55 H-20 as RLM 76 Lichtblau, and those on the H-2 as RLM 21 Weiss. The point was to break-up the overall dark (70/71) uppersurface colour of the aircraft when viewed at a distance. Either colour would be effective in doing this. Cheers, David |
