A-20G Havoc "Perk's Pet", 388th BS, 312th BG, 1945

Hi,

What would be the name of the pilot and gunner of the A-20G-45 Havoc 43-22165 "Perk's Pet", of the 388th Bomb Squadron, 312th Bomb Group, Philippines, Summer 1945?

Thank you!
Franklin

Pilot who renamed A-20G-45 #43-22165 [tail letter 'T'] as "Perk's Pet" was 1st Lt. George D. Perkins
Crew Chief was T/Sgt. Lawrence E. Ickes
Nothing on the gunner at this time.

Bomber was flown on 140+ combat missions

Thank you, Edward.

I’ll need to buy this book.

Is there any indication of the location of the photo? Maybe Floridablanca Airfield?

It's a great book. Hundreds of b&w and color photos as well as color profiles of 312th BG A-20's.

Your photo appears on page 321. The date of the picture is July 12, 1945.
Everyone is id'd in the photo caption.

Almost certainly taken at Floridablanca.
